All students are required to complete the Medical Questionnaire before undertaking any course.
Emergency Arrangements
First-aid, rescue, and emergency procedures are in place at the centre. Our staff will make every effort to respond as quickly as possible to any emergency on site, whether in or out of the water. We also conduct regular emergency rescue and casualty evacuation drills to test the effectiveness of these arrangements.
Any incidents or dangerous occurrences will be reported to the relevant enforcing authority in accordance with our statutory duties. In the event of an accident, please alert the staff immediately.
Raising the Alarm If you see someone in trouble on the surface, underwater, or from the water’s edge, raise the alarm at once by:
- Blowing a whistle.
- Shouting and waving.
If you are at the water’s edge, please stay where you are and monitor the person in trouble while someone else alerts the centre staff. Follow all directions given by the staff until the person has been reached.
DO NOT RUN, OR BLOW WHISTLES, unless there is an emergency.
